Admissions & Enrollment Process

 1.  Attend an Admissions Open House.

The 2019 Admissions Open House dates are February 25 and March 18. Both events will be held at 6:00pm in the Chapel of Boone United Methodist Church.  During the Open House, you will learn more about classical education and the college model schedule, two important aspects of the education at GA that make it unique. School policies will be reviewed.  You will have the opportunity to visit with teachers in classrooms and to look at curriculum.

2.  Prayerfully consider GA as an option for your child(ren).

3.  Read the Grace Academy Family Handbook and Policy Manual.

4.  Submit a Completed Online Application.

Grace Academy will begin accepting Online Applications on February 15, 2019.  Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by August 31 of the enrollment year.  First-time applicants pay a $150 non-refundable application fee per student.  This fee increases to $300 if applying after June 1.

5.  Complete Entrance Testing

Upon receipt of all required forms in the online application, parents will be contacted to schedule entrance testing for their student. Kindergarten students are required to take a GA administered “Kindergarten Readiness” test during the required Family Interview or at another pre-arranged time.  Students in Grades 1 through 8 are required to take a math placement test. Further entrance testing for students in Grades 1 though 8 may be waived after review of report cards and a GA approved standardized test taken within the last year.  If needed, GA can recommend a test administrator for further assessment of your student.

6.  Attend a Family Interview

The final step in the Admissions Process is an interview with our Headmaster.  You will be contacted by the school to schedule this interview. Both parents must accompany the applicant.

7.  Receive an Acceptance Decision/Online Enrollment Packet

After the Family Interview and review of the above items, you will be notified by email of the Board’s decision regarding acceptance of your child.  In the email, you will receive instructions regarding our Online Enrollment Packet. Online enrollment must be completed within seven (7) days of notification of acceptance.  A non-refundable deposit of 10% of total annual tuition for each student is due at enrollment.

Enrollment priority is assigned in the order in which completed enrollment packets are received.  Your enrollment deposit holds your child’s place in this priority listing.  In the event that an opening is not available for your child by August 1, GA will refund this fee in full.
